Gene Pizzo with I Due Mondi selfie

Gene Pizzo emailed The Diego Voci Project to shares with us:

“I met Diego Voci in Bitburg AB in the early ’70s where I appreciated his work but could not afford to buy them. In the late ’70s & early ’80s, at Spangdahlem AB, I was in a position to buy. I have 11 Diego works of art, mostly oils, and treasure them. Unfortunately, we have downsized and no longer have the wall space to admire them all!

I have been to Diego’s atelier twice, by invitation, and was delighted to observe the artist at work and to chat with him and his lovely wife, Helga.

I have been living in Tampa, Florida, since July, 1982.

It’s hard to pick favorites in my collection, but always felt that “I Due Mondi” stood out above the rest (maybe because it was so different??). (selfie attached)

I promise to photograph them, as requested, and send you a link. That will be my next project!”
