THE MEANING OF TENDERNESS!

Diego Voci; “Tendresse” #8802-085 oil on canvas

The translation of “Tendresse” in French means “Tenderness” in English. Diego captures the feeling of tenderness in this surrealistic oil on canvas between a man and a woman.

What is the object or part of the background that is black and white? Is it a pattern or a ghostly mask?

“I DUE MONDI” = THE TWO SURREAL WORLDS!

I due Mondi #10802-105 front index card - Copy

Diego Voci; “I Due Mondi” #101802-105 oil on canvas 50x70cm

Diego Voci (VOH-chee 1920-1985) lived in “Two Worlds” as he pioneered throughout his life as an artist, weaving in and out of styles, excelling at all.

Like this surrealistic painting (1980), Diego pushed his own boundaries to always be thinking forward and creating the new. Here is a story in the foreground and a story in the background.

We are looking for this painting and the original owner Major Pizzo Jr. (purchased in 1980 for $890 USD) in Spanghahlem, Germany. Any information please contact us at diegovociproject@gmail.com

GIFT FROM #DIEGO, MASTER OF #SURREALISM

Temperamento #961-551 50x40cm Michael Day 1977

Diego Voci; “Temperamento” oil on canvas #961-551 50x40cm

If you know of Michael Day, or are him, please contact the Diego Voci Project at diegovociproject@gmail.com.

As we continue the ongoing (volunteer) process of developing the history and legacy of internationally collected artist Antonio Diego Voci we discovered that this small canvas “Temperamento” 50x40cm was a gift to Michael Day.

This unique surrealistic treasure centered around a face that carries its own mystery. Diego Voci, Artist of Thousand Faces shows up in all different styles. Surrealism happens to be a style where Diego pushed the boundaries.

We’d like to know more about the occasion for this generous gift.
