COOP #COOPRIDER OFFERS $30K REWARD FOR #CLOWN by DIEGO

Diego Voci

Diego Voci; oil on canvas

“This clown painted by the internationally collected artist Antonio “Diego” Voci, (1920-1985) was stolen in Otterbach, Germany in the early 1980’s from what was then my office.”

“The Clown” (medium size painting) was for me the icon representing the depth of Diego the man. Study this painting. Feel the pathos. You’ll begin to know the magnetism to which certain addicted collectors such as me succumb.”

“As the authorized Diego Voci Historian (volunteer) for the Diego Voci Estate, (solely owned by his widow, Helga Voci), we are looking forward to the day a generous benefactor sponsors a Major #Museum Diego Voci Exhibition.”

“THIS ARTIST IS A LION”

On this day, August 10, we celebrate the 98th birthday of internationally collected artist Antonio “Diego” Voci (1920-1985).

TV Guide Cover Published May 1974

I am Coop Cooprider, Diego Voci Historian. I first met Diego in late 1966. Patti and I bought our first Diego oil painting on layaway, our first of many. We were and remain addicted https://www.artifactcollectors.com/diego-history-4330818/Page7.html#98597.  In 1973-74, I volunteered for a year to help Diego become better known. One of those efforts was the 3-page biography in the May 1974 issue of the AFNTV Guide by my ghost writer Victoria Williams.

$30,000 REWARD

The “Entertainer” at the Easel

The clown genre by internationally collected artist Antonio Diego Voci (1920-85) is among the world’s all-time best.

A wannabe jester himself, Diego loves to clown around, as you see in these two images followed by “The Clown” for which there is a $30,000 Reward offered.

Helga Voci who was beside Diego from 1960 to 1985 says “Diego liked to be entertaining and do funny things, stupid things”.

Maybe that’s why Diego was so fascinated with clowns, of which he painted many from memory.
