An Artistic Wonderland awaits all visitors to The Diego Voci Project  where we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of Diego’s birth (August 10th). This year marks the 100th year since the Master’s birth in Gasperina Italy. This summer set your sights on a Diego experience. From Masterpieces in oil to Tempera and Watercolour, there’s plenty of faces to discover. DIEGO & NAFFOUJ IN A TIME MACHINE

Internationally collected artist (100th Birthday) Antonio Diego Voci (VOH-chee) 1920-1985 traveled to (Raphael’s birthplace) Urbino, Italy during his career as an artist.

In 1979 we had gone to Urbino, Italy where Diego made a series of very beautiful Lithographs. They were handmade on special litho stones. We stayed there for about 10 days and it was very hard work.

Today, in 1985 Diego Voci died. Internationally collected #artist Antonio Diego Voci, born August 10, 1920 in the little village of #Gasperina, #Italy, succumbed to lung cancer.

During our research on the title to this art work, we stumbled upon the heritage of Napoletan Fisherman. Here is a bit of history to Napoletan Fisherman;

“Masaniello (abbreviation of Tommaso Aniello; 1622 – 16 July 1647) was an Italian fisherman who became leader of the revolt against the rule of Habsburg Spain (refers to the history of Spain over the 16th and 17th centuries) in Naples in 1647. Masaniello was one of the most popular figures in Neapolitan tradition.”
