A RARE DIEGO MOMENT CAPTURED…

…In 1972, 12 years after Helga Drössler was introduced to Diego in Paris at the famous artist filled café, Les Deux Magots.  Diego and Helga remain intimately connected with each brushstroke until his death in 1985.  In this great candid photo in his home studio in Schwetzingen, Germany, Diego had already painted over 1000 oil paintings on canvas with Helga.  Diego is intent and surrounded by all that he truly loved, his paints, brushes, a canvas and most importantly, his wife Helga.  (VOH-chee)    https://youtu.be/_WUYmz0Jkc0
This letter was written by Helga Voci, widow of Diego Voci. She sent this letter when she sent the photo of the two of them.

37 YEARS AGO A DIEGO VOCI #SOLD $950

Die Bauerinnen 50 x 70cm Frances Ann Jacobini

On August 8, 1980, Frances Ann Jacobini purchased this attractive Diego Voci (VOH-chee) painting direct from the home / studio of Helga and Diego.  This image is from a 37 year old Polaroid Helga found.  The card indicates Francis paid $950.  It is title “Die Baüerinnen”.  Coop Cooprider, the Diego Voci Historian since 1973 said “If these are farm girls, they come from classier farms than any I have seen.  It looks like are dressed for a Vogue photoshoot.”

The Diego Voci Project would much appreciate an update on the whereabouts of this Diego work and its owner.  Frances Ann Jacobini.  Anyone? diegovociproject@gmail.com.
