CELEBRATE #2018! BIGGER FAME AWAITS #DIEGO

We the volunteers of Diego Voci Project are gaining momentum in our worldwide search for the lost works of internationally collected artist Antonio Diego #Voci (pronounced “VOH-chee” 1920-1985).

The Diego Voci #Project has published images of nearly 1,000 of about 4,000 #paintings scattered around the globe.

Le petit teatre 381-817 80x100cm 1490 CND Dollars 1978 POST NewYears Eve.jpeg

“Le petit téâtre ” (Oil on canvas 80 x 100 cm #381-817)

A great example is this newly discovered image of a Diego Voci #masterwork of actors awaiting to go on stage. It was purchased in 1978 by Mr. Denis #Provencher of #Canada. Denis bought the large oil painting titled “Le petit téâtre” at Diego’s studio for $1,490 Canadian Dollars.  But, we have no clue as to where it is now. Please be of help!

In the Gregorian calendarNew Year’s Eve (also known as Old Year’s Day or Saint Sylvester’s Day in many countries), the last day of the year, is on December 31 which is the seventh day of the Christmas season. In many countries, New Year’s Eve is celebrated at evening social gatherings, where many people dance, eat, drink alcoholic beverages, and watch or light fireworks to mark the new year.

Happy New Year!

Herrn Kienzle purchased this painting in 1980 for DM 1800 plus 200 Francs for the frame which Helga Voci made herself.

In 1973, Siegfried Dahms owner of Galerie Dahms based in those days…. Said about Diego’s work:

“We cannot get enough DIEGOs for our collectors. He is exactly the taste of the German people.”

ANOTHER STOLEN #DIEGO™ PAINTING!

Helga Voci, Diego’s #widow thought the date of painting to be “time of #Naffouj Galerie or before”.  Actually it was not.  There were no paintings signed “Diego™” until Dr. Jawdat Naffouj and Joy Naffouj made a #contract, that’s when the “Diego” signature began.  This artwork was after Naffouj probably sold by Galerie Dahms. Our records at the DiegoVoci™ Archive notes Diego experimented with everything; cooked #glass paint, #sand based canvas and yes, #roller brush.  The Diego™ gouache was done circa 1973, a time when he experimented with a small roller brush, typical for painting walls.

“Three Children” is another roller brush example, signed Diego, Schwetzingen* 1973.

TOMORROW A NEW #CONGRESS PRESIDES

There is a big elephant in the room that is afraid of the power of the President’s “Veto Pen”.   Look closely, you can barely see the powerful weapon on the desk.

Did one third of the people who voted put the elephant in the room?  Or was it the two thirds of the people who did NOT vote?

11.17.2014 & 10.27.2014 New Yorker Covers One Image

NOT VOTING IS NO LAUGHING MATTER

In a previous #DiegoVoci post we learned that a “Pierrot” is a cousin to the Clown, Harlequin, and Jester, all of which some people who did NOT vote feel run our #Congress. http://www.artifactcollectors.com/diego-voci-painting-of-the-week-5154118/Page8.html#239

This is a message to the two-thirds of Americans who did NOT vote:

You complain that Congress has a bunch of clowns and crooks’.  Look in the mirror. If you are among the two-thirds that did not vote, you are responsible.

Your vote is serious business.

Save our freedoms.  One of them is Freedom of Speech that allows artists to make fun of our elected representatives, as did these artists.  Protect our tax dollars. Your vote, combined with others can clean house.

NOTE: Not much really has changed since 9 months ago when the Speaker of the House, John Boehner, and Speaker of the Senate Mitch McConnell were portrayed taking their medicine from the President. http://www.artifactcollectors.com/diego-voci-antonio-diego-voci-3984818/Page14.html#413

FOOTNOTE: Portrayal of real #clowns was serious business for internationally collected artist Diego Voci (VOH-chee).  There is a $30,000 reward for “The Clown” stolen ca. 1980 in Germany. Link: http://www.artifactcollectors.com/diego-voci-antonio-diego-voci-3984818/Page8.html#231
