Just returned from #NYC and stood before Claude #Monet‘s “Meules” (1890) in the showroom at Sotheby’s days before last night’s record breaking price of $111 Million Monet. (click on image to read more) This work of Monet’s is just as extraordinary on image here as it is in person. (L. Camargo)

#Haystacks by Diego Voci just as extraordinary in composition and light. Here are two examples, take a look for yourself https://diegovociproject.wordpress.com/…/where-is-this-lit…/ and https://diegovociproject.wordpress.com/…/you-already-poste…/

“YOU ALREADY POSTED THIS DIEGO!”

Close, but no cigar.  The link you are referring to is https://diegovociproject.wordpress.com/2017/06/06/where-is-this-little-gem-now .  The haystacks there, are in the middle of the landscape and here the haystacks are on the right.

As with many master painters, Diego Voci would return to variations of favorite subjects.  (Claude Monet did hundreds of haystacks) This beautiful rendered Diego piece was purchased in Pirmasens, Germany by Signore Barcchetti on 31 March 1980 for $680.
