Internationally collected artist Diego Voci (VOH-chee 1920-1985) cheered from beyond when the exhilarating sound of the crowds echoed through the heavens watching #AmericanPharoah cross the #TripleCrown finish line at #BelmontStakes. The victory came with such ease as #AmericanPharoah looked like he and his jockey #VictorEspinoza were out for a Saturday pleasure ride.
Diego loved horses. His drawings and paintings of the equine number in the tens of hundreds scattered around the world, most of them yet to be discovered. You can help find them. Here is one with a collector in England signed VOCI and with a brass plate on the frame with “Antonio Voci” etched in. It is confirmed that the grandfather of the owner of “Horses Racing” received a trophy by the Queen of England for racing horses.
NOTE: “Diego” signature did not begin until after 1965 “Horses Racing” was originally sold by Schlossgalerie in Zurich. See 1965 advertisement. http://www.artifactcollectors.com/diego-history-4330818.html#43343
