EARLY DIEGO VOCI DISCOVERY UNVEILED!

Here is one of 3 paintings known to be sold by Schlossgalerie in Zurich, Switzerland; a period when Schlossgalerie in Zurich provided Diego (Voci) a studio (mid 1963-1964) where master paintings were created.

Mr. Buri owner of Schlossgalerie in Zurich during that time period sold Diego’s works under the name “Antonio Voci”.

This painting of a blacksmith was discovered by Susan Vogler Pinfold.  Susan sent this image to the Diego Voci Project and is referenced as “The Smithy” 57 ½” x 69″ oil on canvas.  This painting is signed “A Voci” and on the plaque the name is “Antonio Voci“.

#CUBISM SERIES BY DIEGO VOCI

When artists #GeorgeBraque, #Picasso, and #JuanGris created #cubistic #paintings it was often difficult even to the trained eye to identify which artist did the work. When Antonio #DIEGO Voci ventured into his cubistic mode he strived to be distinctively DIEGO.

“Ink on Paper” is an important example historically because it was one of the very last works before DIEGO transitioned 3 days later. DIEGO drew this especially for what became his last exhibition, an open house at his residence the first week of December 1985. DIEGO remained upstairs in bed, too ill to personally attend.

#DESPAIR AND HELPLESSNESS OF THE #POOR

This large #DiegoVoci™ painting “Poor People” was one of two paintings on raw #burlap commissioned by Joy and Jawdat Naffouj. Joy lives in #Canada. Jawdat still operates a #gallery in Landstuhl #Germany. He has several DiegoVoci™ #lithograph editions available that he published in the 1970’s.

THE #GOLD RUSH OF ’49

Fortune was there 165 years ago for those who searched.

Another opportunity exists today!! Over 3,000 more artworks by the internationally collected artist Antonio DIEGO Voci (VOH-chee) are waiting to be discovered. They could be anywhere. The original owners who hoarded them for decades are dead or getting closer. The dozens of Diego oil paintings that each collector owned are suddenly appearing in the strangest places, and at unbelievably low prices. Here is an example of two hidden gems wonderfully rendered, found online at a local #Goodwill auction site.

The new owner, Ron Brack Jr. wrote; “I purchased them from the online Goodwill auction in Tacoma, Wash., I paid $10.00 for the pair. The first painting is labeled D-108929. Diego. Mann mit Müte. The second painting is marked D-108928. Diego. Mann mit Bart. This is not written on the paintings themselves but on a cardboard holding the paintings in the frames. The dimensions are 5 1/16″ x 7″ for both, and that is out of the frame.”

Many of the prospectors for gold were shocked to find their new found metal was “fool’s gold”, not the real thing.

To recognize the real thing in a Diego artwork examine his style and his signatures. Mostly Diego. But in earlier works it could be A.Voci, D.Voci, or just Voci.

CENTAURO HYGENE SECRET REVEALED… …HALF WAY

It’s a shame internationally collected artist Antonio Diego Voci (1920-1985) did not live to learn the Centauro cleanliness secret.  Diego portrayed Centauro in his “Dance of Death” on canvas (see below).

You can help.  There are at least two to three thousand “Diego” signed paintings to be found scattered worldwide (signed “Voci” pre – 1965).  Over the past 6 years the Diego Voci Project has identified about a thousand of a total of 4,000.  We estimate at least 80% survived.
