Carol
Bachofner shares her internationally collected artist Diego Voci story;
“I own two original Diegos’
purchased in 1973 through Naffouj Gallery, in Landstuhl, Germany. I bought two
large ones at the time at an art show through Naffouj Gallery. The exhibit was
held at the “General Von Steuben” Hotel in Wiesbaden and Diego Voci (VOH-chee
1920-1985) was there in person.
I later visited Diego at his home in Germany and purchased another small watercolor painting on wood directly from him. The colorful one on wood is a village scene. The other one is of a Pueblo village in the American southwest where Diego said he’d traveled. These are original and are signed by Diego. My two large Diego paintings are with me in Maine.”
