Internationally collected artist Antonio Diego Voci (1920-9185) was fascinated with “man’s animal instinct to overpower” at the risk of life itself.
Joy Naffouj represented Diego beginning in (1966); shares a unique factor she had not seen in other artists: “Speed at which DIEGO worked, his hand blurred & he would create a sketch so detailed so quickly” just as quick as the “Running the Bulls” in Spain.

When a new potential art collector made the first purchase, often it would be a clown by internationally collected artist Antonio Diego Voci (1920-1985 VOH-chee).
Then the new collector experienced the “Potato Chip Phenomenon”, being unable to stop buying just one Diego Voci painting. They become attracted by a unique magnetism in Diego’s masterly creations totally unconfined by just one genre.

The Diego Voci Project has been on worldwide search since 2009. We have only found about 25% of Diego’s works so far. The image of “Les Deux Clowns” above was taken on October 17, 1976 when purchased in Worms, Germany by proud owner JIM HOLT who contacted the Diego Voci Project to be cataloged in the Diego Voci Archive.

We would like to locate this Diego Voci painting. All we know is the last name SOULE, as the original buyer on 24 April 1975. “LA REVOLTE” is by internationally collected artist Antonio Diego Voci (1920-1985). The price paid 42 years ago was $720 in Germany, in the home studio where Diego and wife Helga lived. Diego was about people, a master at making them come alive. Help us find this Diego work of art.

#Antonio #Diego #Voci (1920-85) never copied, but in his canvases especially in the still life genre, an educated art connoisseur can see Cezanne’s influence in Diego’s work.

The frame was made by Helga Voci who lived with Diego for the last 25 years of his life.

“Ink on Paper” is an important example historically because it was one of the very last works before DIEGO transitioned 3 days later. DIEGO drew this especially for what became his last exhibition, an open house at his residence the first week of December 1985. DIEGO remained upstairs in bed, too ill to personally attend.
