Welcome to Part 1of 5 in the “FACES SERIES” by internationally collected #artist Antonio Diego Voci (1920-1985) also known as “The Artist of a Thousand Faces”. Diego was fascinated by the beauty and mystery of faces like the etched lines of life’s hardships in an old man’s face. Although we are only featuring Diego faces in this series, he was by no means limited to this category. Diego also loved figures such as the grace and power of a horse, the female body nude or in ballet, landscapes, still life, and many more genres which can be viewed in “The Beauty of Diego” book (Link below).

Depicted above are 6 of the “Faces” #masterpieces by Diego. Compiled thanks to Helga Voci, Diego’s widow, who began taking polaroids in the mid 70’s and indexed them to create an inventory of sorts. Some #polaroids are severely faded and definitely not as vibrant as Diego’s originals would have been.

There are several hundred index cards with images of Diego’s art that Helga found in the basement a few months ago dated as sold in 1975-77. The box unfortunately represents only a mere number of the Diego #artworks. Nonetheless it supports the fact that there are a couple thousand more in the world to be found. Indexing the artworks was suggested by Diego Voci Historian, Coop #Cooprider early on, but unfortunately it does not include hundreds of paintings Diego created prior to the mid 70’s.

Help us find the owners of these masterpiece faces!
