THANK YOU MARIO VOCI OF ITALY
Paolo Grande, the son to Enzo Grande, a longtime friend of Diego’s shares a second work of art with us by Diego Voci. What we know is that this work of art, a very different style for Diego was done possibly early 1950’s, near ForlÍ (northern Italy) where Enzo used to live.
Mario Voci shares his interpretation “I guess the title of the painting can be “Pipers”, in Italy we say “Zampognari” and certainly the painting tells us something about the world Diego knew in the first part of his life”. It is signed in red “Voci” in the upper right, with a red line above and below the signature.
We are so grateful to Mario Voci of Italy for his tenacious efforts in helping the Diego Voci Project Team in rediscovering the lost artwork of Diego Voci, and spreading the awareness of Diego as a great master he became. This is the fourth of the only paintings founds to date from Diego’s early life.
As we continue to uncover all of Diego Voci’s hidden talents of an artist, finding the rare pieces early in his life sheds new light into his passion to become an amazing artist.
